About US

The St. Albans area is home to more than 24,000 people who appreciate its convenient location – just a 20-minute drive to Charleston – and its small town charm. In St. Albans you’ll find outstanding recreational opportunities, a progressive school system, hospitable businesses, and above all, friendly people. Take a few moments to explore this website and you’ll begin to understand our motto: Come for Business, Stay for Life!

This website is a project of the St. Albans Renaissance Group, working together with the City of St. Albans, the St. Albans Regional Development Authority, and the St. Albans Chamber of Commerce. While each group has a different purpose and mission, they are all working toward the goal of making St. Albans a better place to live and work.

The St. Albans Renaissance Group is a volunteer organization working under the direction of a Board of Directors and is funded by contributions from the City, business and individual memberships, and other fund raising activities. The Renaissance Group explores ways to better the city through design and economic development, and also promotes the city through events and public relations campaigns. New volunteers are always welcome, so if you’re interested in becoming involved, contact the St. Albans Renaissance Group at 304-722-0065.

The St. Albans Regional Development Authority is a volunteer organization funded by the City, grants, and various projects. The purpose of the organization is to promote the economic well-being of St. Albans and to promote commerce and a better quality of life for its citizens by helping existing businesses, widen the retail base, improve zoning, attract new businesses, and improve the appearance of the City through beautification.

The St. Albans Chamber of Commerce is an independent organization made up of businesses from the St. Albans area. Funded entirely by dues and other fund raising activities, the Chamber provides support for existing businesses through various activities and offers networking opportunities to member and prospective businesses.
